William Wiebe is an artist based in New York. His work has been presented at venues including the Singapore Art Museum; NeMe Arts Centre, Cyprus; the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, New York; the National Academy of Sciences, Washington, DC; Links Hall, Chicago; and Southern Exposure, San Francisco. He has received fellowships from the Fulbright Foundation, the Cyprus University of Technology, and the University of Chicago's Arts, Science & Culture Initiative, with additional support from Friends With Benefits, the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, and the Khachig Tölölyan Fund for the Study of Diasporas and Transnationalism, among others. His work is in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago; The Island Club, Cyprus; the Joan Flasch Artists' Book Collection, Chicago; and 6018|North, Chicago. He holds a BA from Wesleyan University, an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and he was a participant in the Whitney Museum's Independent Study Program.
